FAS ISSUED A WARNING TO YANDEX FOR CREATING DISCRIMINATORY CONDITIONS IN A SEARCH SYSTEM

There are also sings of abuse of dominance position in the company’s actions

The FAS Russia received applications of violation of the antimonopoly law by Yandex LLC. The company’s actions in the Internet search market contain signs of abuse of dominance position.

Yandex LLC provides the services of the Yandex Group with preferential opportunities to promote (attract the attention of users) services in the Yandex search system, which leads to the creation of discriminatory conditions for activities in related markets.

The FAS Russia issued a warning to Yandex to eliminate violations [1]. The organization must ensure equal conditions for the demonstration of services on the pages of the search system, including for market participants - competitors of the Yandex group.
