Maxim Shaskolsky, Head of the FAS Russia met with Gegham Gevorgyan, Chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia. The meeting was held within the framework of the visit of the Armenian delegation to Russia.
During the meeting, the heads of the authorities discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, the activities of authorities related to the registration and re-registration of maximum selling prices for vital medicines. The participants of the meeting agreed to provide the FAS Russia with assistance to their Armenian colleagues in developing a methodology for determining the maximum selling prices for such medicines.
The parties also exchanged views on the practical cooperation of antimonopoly authorities in the current conditions of economic globalization, noting its importance in identifying and suppressing violations of antimonopoly legislation by large multinational companies.
As a result of the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of competition policy was signed between the FAS Russia and the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia, which provides for interaction between the parties, including on law enforcement issues, exchange of experience and information.
