FAS RUSSIA FINED TELE2 FOR THE ABUSE OF ITS DOMINANT POSITION
The authority initiated an administrative offense case against the company and imposed a 825,500 rubles fine on the telecom operator for the abuse of its dominant position on November 22*.
In January 2021, the company increased the cost of cellular services for more than 12 million of its subscribers-individuals by an average of 13%, justifying the growth by increase in its costs. The antimonopoly service received a large number of requests from subscribers of the telecom operator.
FAS has established that the level of tariff increases is not due to rising costs, and on September 13, 2021, stated that T2 Mobile LLC as violating antimonopoly legislation **.
