FAS BLOCKED THE MERGER OF THE EASTERN UNION ALLIANCE AND THE RETAIL COMMANDER

FAS rejected the application of OOO Eastern Retail Chains* for consent to exercise the functions of the executive body of OOO Trading Network Commander.**

If this transaction took place, the merged parties would take a dominant position in the food retail market in a number of municipalities of Irkutsk and the Krasnoyarsk regions.

According to FAS, the emergence and (or) strengthening of a dominant position may lead to restriction of competition in the specified market and negatively affect suppliers.
