THE COURT SUPPORTED FAS IN A DISPUTE WITH AN UNFAIR FOREIGN INVESTOR

ASTON MANAGEMENT HOLDING LIMITED based in Cyprus represented by Aston Food and Food Ingredients JSC has signed an agreement with the Russian strategic company OOO Trading Port.*

The lease agreement on land plots and berths concluded by the companies required coordination with the Government Commission for Monitoring the Implementation of Foreign Investments.** FAS filed a lawsuit with the court to declare the contract invalid.

The court invalidated the lease agreement. In addition, the court ordered the lessor to return all the money paid under the contract and the lessee to return the leased property to the owner.
