15-02-2018 | 17:09

A recent decree of the RF Government1 changed the procedure for connecting capital construction facilities to gas-distribution networks and therefore took some items off the table

On 9 February, FAS and Moscow Government discussed details of their cooperation at a special meeting.

According to Deputy Head of FAS Anatoly Golomolzin, productive cooperation between the parties will allow to connect new users to the gas network and protect the interest of the current users.

“The level of gasification in the region is quite high. The near-Moscow area is the largest gas consumer in Russia. This subject of the Russian Federation uses around 18 billion m³ of fuel”, pointed out Deputy Head of FAS. “At the same time, there are questions related to connection via closed gas-distribution stations.  Some issues of the Moscow region were resolved when the Government of the Russian Federation passed a Decree changing the procedure for connecting capital construction facilities to gas-distribution networks.”

“We discussed, in particular, the prospects of entering into a regular contract – a trilateral contract involving the Government of the Moscow region, FAS and gas suppliers”, saidDeputy Head of FAS Anatoly Golomolzin. “It will set the parameters for long-term tariff regulation, development of gasification programmes, reduce the price for technological connection to gas networks and increase efficiency of investment programmes in the gas-distribution sector”.

Anatoly Golomolzin summed up the results of the “Round Table”: “We reached a unified conclusion that our cooperation will be ongoing, under the frame of a regular contract as well as solving the most pressing gasification problems in the Moscow region”.
