WARNINGS TO FOUR AIRLINES TRANSPORTING PASSENGERS ON THE “MAKHCHKALA – MOSCOW - MAKHACHKALA” ROUTE
Dagestan OFAS issued warnings to four airlines to stop actions that have signs of violating the antimonopoly law
Earlier Dagestan OFAS established that “Russia”, “Pobeda”, “UTair” and “NordStar” have collective dominance on the market of passenger air transportation services on the “Makhachkala – Moscow – Makhachkala” route with the consolidated share from 86.9% to 90.5% in 2017 and the first six months of 2018.
Air fare for passengers obtaining services on the same scope differ depending on the time of purchasing tickets and the tariff class, determined by an airline based on the booking table, rather than on airline costs.
According to the warning of the antimonopoly body, by 8 November 2018 the airlines should stop fixing and applying economically, technologically and otherwise unjustified tariffs for regular economy-class passenger transportation on the “Makhachkala – Moscow – Makhachkala” route.
