FAS IS GOING TO STUDY THE POLYGRAPHIC MARKET
The decision is made by FAS Commission on market analysis
On 5th December 2018 experts of FAS Commission on market analysis discussed 2019-2020 FAS Action Plan for analyzing the state of competition in the markets, draft Guidelines on analyzing competition in the market of in-house security services and heard the findings of a survey of the state of competition on the market of services offered by temporary storage warehouses.
In 2019, the competition authority will study the state of competition in the markets of residential housing construction, livestock slaughtering, sunflower and bean planting seeds, communications services for TV-broadcasting as well as wholesale markets of alcohol, tobacco products, innovative nicotine-containing products and devices for nicotine consumption my methods different form tobacco smoking. For the first time, FAS is planning to analyze the polygraphic market.
The Commission Chairman, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov commented: “We do not know much about this market, we have not analyzed it yet. The initiative was put forward by the Department for Control over Advertising and Unfair Competitions and it will be analyzing this segment thoroughly in 2019”.
The list of markets for annual surveying has not changed for 2019; it includes 17 markets.
