IGOR ARTEMIEV HELD TALKS WITH HEAD OF THE SAKHA (YAKUTIA) REPUBLIC AISEN NIKOLAEV

The parties discussed how to improve tariff regulation in the utilities sector in rode to balance the interests of consumers and regulated organizations

On 13 March 2019, Head of FAS Igor Artemiev and Head of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic Aisen Nikolaev held talks. The parties emphasized coordinated and efficient work of Yakutia OFAS with the Regional Government in the part of implementing the National Competition Development Plan and the orders issued following the State Council in April 2018.  

Another important block concerned tariff regulation improvement. Igor Artemiev pointed out active cooperation between the regional pricing body in the Republic and the antimonopoly authority.

“All submitted proposals are being thoroughly analyzed. We would like to thank you for the efforts on improving the tariff regulation under the frame of the Working Group. It should be stressed that Yakutia is among its active members”, highlighted Head of FAS.

The parties emphasized the significance of collaboration and outlined a mid-term action plan.

“We always endeavour to have a constructive dialogue with representatives of regions. FAS is ready to provide assistance in competition development in the subjects of the Russian Federation for local representatives of business, the authorities, experts and individuals in the fields of the antimonopoly, tariff, advertising laws and other areas of FAS competence”, concluded Igor Artemiev.
