NEW OPEN DATA ON THE FAS WEBSITE

The data set on “Regional tariff regulators” contains information about the names, addresses and contacts of tariff regulators in the regions of Russia where individuals and organizations can apply to seek explanations on their questions.

The second data set – “Information maps” that is now on the FAS website includes information on interactive services for disclosing information in the part of tariffs, pricing parameters, etc. Thus, it comprises full information on all organizations and regulators.

“FAS has a huge array of data published on the website of the Antimonopoly Service in open data. This tool makes information more accessible and understandable for people”, pointed out Head of FAS PR Department, Irina Kashunina. “If the authorities disclose information about their activities, it is useful for individuals and organization to not only know about it but also do something on its basis. Perhaps, the new datasets can have a social or an economic effect, for instance, in terms of public control over the tariffs for monopolies”.
