The representatives from the FAS Russia participated in a new international event “Competition Talks”, organized by the Turkish Competition Authority on February 9, 2021 in online format.  This event provided an opportunity to get in touch with academia and international organizations that contribute to the field of antimonopoly regulation.

The aim of the conference is to address current theoretical and practical issues affecting competition law and policy.  The first distinguished guest of “Competition Talks” was Prof. Alberto Heimler whose speech was dedicated to his new contribution to the “Theory of Harm”.

The webinar considered the new approach that provides a comprehensive economic foundation for competition law, by helping to explain features of competition that cannot be explained by the traditional consumer welfare or total welfare frameworks. Moreover, the Turkish Competition Authority is planned to regularly organize the “Competition Talks”.
