BRICS Conferences


The initiative of holding the First BRIC[1] Competition Conference in Kazan was made by FAS Russia. Over time, the Conference became regular and traditionally takes place once every two years in each of the BRICS countries. At the end of each BRICS Conference, the leaders of the BRICS competition authorities adopt a Joint Statement (Declaration) containing the main areas of cooperation in the BRICS format and mechanisms for their implementation.

2019 – Sixth BRICS Competition Conference, Moscow, Russia

"10 years of cooperation between the BRICS Competition Authorities: results and Protection of interests of the BRICS population in socially significant markets"

2021 – Seventh BRICS Competition Conference, Chengdu, China

"Openness, Competition, Development"

2023 – Eight BRICS Competition Conference, New Delhi, India

"New Issues in Competition Law and Policy - Dimensions, Perspective, Challenges"
