A meeting of FAS Methodological Council on Tariff Regulation
On 25 February 2016 the Methodological Council of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) on Tariff Regulation discussed the main directions of tariff policy.
“The new tariff policy already has some particular “outlines””, pointed out the Head of FAS Igor Artemiev. Among the major provisions of the new tariff policy he mentioned below-inflation tariffs, control over the costs of service production in tariff-setting, and a focus on consumer interests.
The key speakers were Deputy Heads of FAS: Anatoly Golomolzin presented the main areas of tariff regulation. Vitaly Korolyov informed about the specifics of tariff regulation in the electric power industry and the housing & utility sector. Alexander Red’ko emphasized the importance of overcoming a downward trend in cargo transportation. Sergey Puzyrevsky talked about exercising the powers on pre-judicial dispute settlement.
