The Ministry of Health Care executed a warning of the antimonopoly authority
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) was notified by the Ministry of Health Care of the Russian Federation on executing the warning issued by the antimonopoly body and eliminating elements of unreasonably preventing activities of economic entities (Clause 2 Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”).
According to the Antimonopoly Service, the Ministry of Health Care unreasonably refused to execute Clause 6 (1) of the Rules for keeping the Register of prices for life-saving and essential drugs in the part of making changes to Register entries on official registration of the ceiling ex-works prices for medicinal drugs when their manufacturers change, which prevented operations of economic entities.
“We are grateful to the Ministry of Health Care for constructive cooperation to restore legitimacy. Pharmaceutical manufacturers who earlier received unreasonable refusals can again approach the Ministry to make changes to a Register entry under Clause 6 (1) of the Rules for keeping the Register of prices for life-saving and essential drugs (1)”, emphasized the Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, Timophei Nizhegorodtsev.
