Vitaly Korolev is included in the Supervisory Board of the “Market Council” non-profit

The Government of the Russian Federation passed an order (1) making changes in the membership of the Supervisory Board of the “Market Council Non-ProfitPartnership”Association.

One of the reasons is transferring tariff powers to FAS.

For instance, Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolev is included in the Supervisory Board of the “Market Council” Non-ProfitPartnership”Association. He is responsible for antimonopoly control and tariff regulation in the electric power industry, heat supply and the housing & utilities sector.

2. The “Market Council Non-ProfitPartnership for organizing an efficient system of wholesale and retail trade in electric power and capacity”Association (the “Market Council Non-ProfitPartnership” Association) is formed in accord with the Federal Law “On the electric power and capacity”.

The main objective of the Association is to support performance of the commercial infrastructure of the wholesale market of electric power and capacity.

The “Market Council Non-ProfitPartnership”Association is involved in drafting the rules for wholesale and retail markets of electric power and capacity, devises and approves an Agreement on joining the wholesale market trade system and wholesale market Regulations, keeps the Register of wholesale participants, and resolves disputes on the market as well as controls whether the wholesale market players observe the rules of the wholesale and retail market of electric power and capacity.

The Supervisory Board of the “Market Council Non-ProfitPartnership”Association is an ongoing collegial body exercising control over the Partnership.
