Oleg Korneev is appointed Head of FAS Department for Control over Construction and Natural Resources
On 1 December 2016, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) issued an order appointing Oleg Korneev is appointed Head of FAS Department for Control over Construction and Natural Resources.
Earlier he was Deputy Head of Moscow OFAS Russia.
Biography:
In 2009 graduated Diploma cum Laude from Russian Law Academy at the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, specializing in “law”.
With the antimonopoly bodies since 2009 in the positions of a leading specialist-expert; a principal leading specialist-expert; an advisor; Head of a Unit for monitoring and control over wholesale and retail electric power markets, FAS Department for Control over Electric Power Industry. In June 2014 appointed Acting Head of Moscow OFAS; from October 2014 was Deputy Head of Moscow OFAS. Was responsible for compliance of the authorities with the antimonopoly law as well as economic entities that had the dominant position.
In 2012 was awarded FAS Certificate of Merit for considerable personal contribution in the national policy on competition development, and issued a commendation in 2011.
Civil Service grade: Councilor of State Civil Service of the Russian Federation, 1 class.
Is a lecturer and a researcher, published several works on antimonopoly regulation.
