FAS is devising the Road Map for developing competition in science and education jointly with the expert community
On 15 December 2016 FAS Expert Council discussed proposals in including in the draft Road Map on “Developing Competition in Education”.
The antimonopoly body is discussing the relevant proposals to execute the instructions from the RF Government. Members of the Expert Council – representatives of specialized commercial companies, government agencies and non-government organizations, operating in the field of education, put forward their proposals on developing work of educational entities. Upon detailed screening, they will be included in FAS draft Road Map for further discussions and approval by the Ministry of Education and Science.
Based on the FAS report on the state of competition in Russia, presented to the Government in autumn, FAS and sectoral ministries areas set an objective to devise sectoral Road Maps to support competition development and high-quality economic growth in subordinate spheres. Educational institutions provide services, which is an economic activity, and we have to work out proposals on improving non-discriminatory conditions for all market participants”, emphasized Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, Timophey Nizhegorodtsev.
In January 2017, FAS will held an intermediary meeting with the Expert Council to refine the proposals to the Road Map to submit the relevant proposals for approval by the Ministry of Education and Science in February 2017.
