FAS issued a warning to Deputy Minister for Construction and Housing & Utilities Sector of the Russian Federation
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) sent a warning to Deputy Minister for Construction and Housing & Utilities Sector of the Russian Federation, Nikita Stasishin, that actions, which may lead to violating the antimonopoly law, are unacceptable.
He stated, in particular, that housing prices in 2017 would be gradually increasing. The statement was published on the Internet.
In the opinion of the antimonopoly body, disseminating such information can be perceived by economic entities as some guidelines for planning their activities.
Based on Article 25.7 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, FAS warned not to execute the planned actions since such conduct may lead to violating the antimonopoly law.
‘Warnings and prevention still remains the main FAS objective. Such claims are unacceptable because it can provoke increased housing prices”, emphasized Deputy Head of FAS, Rachik Petrosyan.
