Timophey Nizhegorodtsev: we must protect economic relations between suppliers and retailers
On 2 March 2017, FAS organized a workshop for Heads of regional antimonopoly bodies on implementing the amendments to the Law on Trade that came into force on 15 July 2016. According to the amendments, valid supply contracts should be adjusted in line with the Law by 1 January 2017
Following the instructions from the Government of the Russian Federation, the Antimonopoly Service is completing its preliminary analysis of enforcement of the new norms and findings of monitoring the amendments to the Law on Trade will be presented by 14 March 2017.
Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, Timophey Nizhegorodtsev, emphasized to the workshop participants – Heads of regional antimonopoly bodies: “The task we are facing is not only to verify observance of the new norms of the Law on Trade. We must protect economic relations between suppliers and retailers. If you see signs of violations – this is the reason to undertake measures”.
Deputy Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, Ekterina Uryukina, answered questions from the attendees on collecting and processing information.
The workshop on enforcement of the amendments to the Law on Trade took place under the frame of extended FAS Collegium (27th February – 2 March 2017).
