Congratulations with the Day of antimonopoly officers!
The history of the antimonopoly body started on 14 July 1990. Its mission was freedom of competition and efficient business protection for the future of Russia!
A lot of important structural transformations have happen during these years: improving the law, removing administrative barriers, intensifying competitive environment. These changes have been consistently implemented – first, by the RSFSR State Committee on Antimonopoly Policy and Support of New Economic Structures, then from March 1997 – the State Antimonopoly Committee of the Russian Federation, from September 1997 – the Ministry of the Russian Federation on Antimonopoly Policy and Support of Entrepreneurship, and finally, since March 2004 – the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
We and our colleagues from FAS regional bodies, along with antimonopoly officers from other countries, work to prevent and suppress competition-restrictive actions, control compliance with the law and do everything possible to make our work even more efficient and open.
The Day of antimonopoly officers was established recently, in the year of celebrating the 25th anniversary of antimonopoly regulation in Russia. It is an important special day, uniting us and our ideals. Congratulation to everybody involved!
