Andrey Tsarikovsky came to the Kamchatka region with a working visit
Deputy Head of FAS discussed the pressing issues of developing competition in the Far East Federal District with representatives of the executive regional authorities and local Courts
On 13 July 2017, Stats-Secretary – Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsarikovsky took part in a regional workshop of FAS regional bodies on 12-13 July in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
“Traditionally, our regional workshops are attended by local executive bodies, Courts, representatives of business because only with such participants It is possible to comprehensively evaluate the state of competition in the regions and elaborate common approaches to its development”, emphasized Deputy Head of FAS.
The attendees discussed some pressing issues of applying the antimonopoly law in the region subsidizing to agricultural producers, observing the rights of entrepreneurs in the Kamchatka region, cartels, issues on the market of harvesting and processing aquatic biological resources.
Deputy Prosecutor’s Office of the Kamchatka region Alexi Bashmakov discussed observations of the rights of local businessmen.
A judge of Kamchatka Regional Arbitration Court, Denis Dovgalyuk, emphasized the importance of collegial discussions of un-to-date themes of antimonopoly regulation in the regions involving all stakeholders.
Andrey Tsarikovsky also gave a press-conference in follow-up of the event.
The Round Table attendees included Heads of specialized Departments of the Central FAS Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Heads of FAS regional Offices in the Far East Federal District as well as representatives of federal and regional executive bodies, self-government bodies, the prosecution office, Courts, NGOs and non-profit companies.
