FAS Board will make a decision next week
One of the main items on the agenda of the meeting on 25 July 2017 in Ulan-Ude, chaired by Deputy Prime-Minister Arkady Dvorkovich was the measures adopted by the Russian Government to reduce electric power tariffs in the Republic of Buryatia. Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolev gave a report where he highlighted the methodical efforts undertaken in the past years to pass government acts, enabling systematic price reduction for Buryatia consumers. In particular, he detailed a recent government act.
The Government Decree describes the Republic of Buryatia as one of the regions with specific performance of the wholesale and retail electric power markets.
“In the very near future FAS will make all necessary decisions to implement the Government Decree and ensure once again reduction of electric power prices for consumers in Buryatia”, stated Vitaly Korolev.
Next week FAS Board will consider amendments to 2017 consolidated forecast balance and setting indicative prices for electric power and capacity for the participants of the wholesale market operating in Buryatia.
Deputy Head of FAS said that “electric power prices in Buryatia will go down significantly already from 1 September 2017”.
