FAS signed an Agreement on Cooperation with the Government of the Udmurtia Republic
The Agreement was signed on 4 October 2017 by Head of the antimonopoly body Igor Artemiev and Head ofthe Udmurtia Republic Alexander Brechalov
The parties agreed on cooperation to protect competition, create conditions for efficient market performance, pursue the national policy to develop competition in the Udmurtia Republic, and enhance investment activity.
During the working meeting, Igor Artemievand Alexander Brechalov discussed the need to implement the Competition Development Standard in the region. In particular, they covered such prospective opportunities for increasing the level of competition in Buryatia as attracting business in the field of passenger transportation, private day-care centres and partial pharmacy privatization.
The Head of the antimonopoly authority emphasized that FAS is prepared to offer every assistance to develop competition in the region and organize regional workshops for representatives of local business, the authorities and experts under the Federal contractual system, in the field of antimonopoly, tariff and advertising laws and other issues under the competence of FAS.
Finally, Igor Artemievexpressed hope for further efficient cooperation with the Government of the Udmurtia Republic and invited the Head of the region to take part in the workshop on “Tariff regulation in 2017 and the objectives of state regulation for 2018-2025” in Yalta on 17 - 19 October.

“The Competition Development Standard in the subjects of the Russian Federation” is drafted to execute Clause 2 Section III of the Action Plan (“Road Map”) for “Developing Competition and Improving the Antimonopoly Policy”, approved by No. 2579-r Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 28 December 2012. The new “Competition Development Standard in the subjects of the Russian Federation” is approved by No. 1738-r Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 05.09.2015.
