Yakutia OFAS fined “Yakutskenergo” PSC over seven million RUB

Earlier the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) received a statement form “Seer-Atroi” Ltd. that “Yakutskenergo” PSC could have violated the antimonopoly law.

According to the statement, from February 2015 “Yakutskenergo” PSC unilaterally calculated payments for heating energy based on consumption norms rather than meter readings. The difference between the consumption norms in the bills “Yakutskenergo” PSC and the actual heat energy consumption by the house owners from February 2015 to May 2016 exceeded two million RUB.

Having investigated the case, the Commission of Yakutia OFAS found that “Yakutskenergo” PSC violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

Thus, in February 2015 - April 2015 “Yakutskenergo” PSC requested the managing company to pay for the amount of heating energy that exceeded the meter readings.

The administrative fine has been paid in full.
