Nelli Galimkhanova: “We live in the epoch of digitalization of business-models and should adjust to such changes”
On 27 October Head of FAS Department for Industry Control, Nelli Galimkhanova discussed digital trends in developing the market of transportation services at the IX Conference on “Antimonopoly Regulation in Russia”
Representatives of car distributors and dealers attended the session.
They discussed the current state of car market in Russia. Experts emphasized that the institution of self-regulation on the vehicles market is highly developed.
The second part of the session focused on the pressing aspects of economic transformation, digitalization and challenges facing the car market.
“We discussed challenges facing distributors, manufacturers, dealers and consumers, related to the trends happening on the market due to digitalization of the economy. In particular, it was pointed out that such new business models like car sharing, online, taxi aggregators, e-mobiles with automates piloting will transform the market and in the future it will generate new challenges. The task of the antimonopoly authority is to find out how to regulate the sector without freezing its further development”, said Nelli Galimkhanova.
FAS Expert Council will continue discussing the issues related to the prospects, trends and the need to change approaches to market analysis and sectoral regulation.
