Alexei Dotsenko: consumers and businessmen will benefit from an Agreement on Cooperation between FAS and Udmurtia
Udmurtia is implementing the Competition Development Standard
On 30 October, Deputy Head of FAS Alexei Dotsenko and Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department, Vladimir Mishelovin, had a meeting with Head of the Udmurtia Republic, Alexander Brechalov, in Izhevsk.
The focus was on the Road Map on implementing the Agreement on Cooperation between FAS and the Udmurtia Republic. “There is already a draft Road Map on the signed Agreement on Cooperation”, reported Alexei Dotsenko. “After refining the Agreement based on proposals from all parties, it will become a good basis for interaction between the Government of the Udmurtia Republic and FAS to develop competitive environment. No doubt it will benefit consumers and businessmen”.
The parties discussed, in particular, the main issues in developing competition and the key social-and-economic issues of the region.
Alexei Dotsenko and Vladimir Mishelovin also took part in a working meeting chaired by Prime Minister of the Government of the Udmurtia Republic, Yaroslav Semyuonov, with sectoral ministers and representatives of the regional business community. The event devoted to implementing the Competition Development Standard in Russian regions.
On 4 October, Head of FAS Igor Artemiev and Head of the Udmurtia Republic, Alexander Brechalov signed the Agreement on Cooperation. The parties agreed to cooperate in order to protect competition, create conditions for efficient market performance, pursuing the government policy towards developing competition in the Udmurtia Republic, and increasing investment activity.
