FAS PROVED A FACT OF MAINTAINING MONOPOLISTICALLY HIGH PRICE FOR AVIATION FUEL IN KHAVAROVSK AIRPORT
The antimonopoly body defended its position at three Court instances
Khabarovsk OFAS ascertained a fact of breaching the antimonopoly law (Part 1 Article 10 of No.135-FZ Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”) by “TZK-AERO” Ltd. In 2013-2014 the company fixed and maintained monopolistically high price for aviation fuel in Khabarovsk airport (“Novy”), in breach of the statutory pricing procedure for the services of aviation fuel storage and aircraft refueling in airport.
The company appealed a decision of Khabarovsk OFAS at Court. Three Court instances, however, confirmed legitimacy of the decision made by the antimonopoly body.
Head of Khabarovsk OFAS Elena Kloster said: “I believe that this case is of special importance for our society since air transportation is included in 2018-2020 National Competition Development Plan in the Russian Federation”.
