FAS AND NIZHNY NOVGOROD REGION SIGNED ADDITIONAL AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION IN TARIFF REGULATION

Tariff setting is one of the issues for the economy and the population

On 25 June 2019, Head of FAS Igor Artemiev and Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin signed an additional Agreement*, providing for cooperation between the parities to pursue measures of the state policy in the field of government regulations of prices (tariffs).

According to Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the additional Agreement facilitates interaction on the key issue for the national economy and the population – tariff setting.

“We very much hope for FAS experience and competences in this area, especially amidst “garbage” reform in the region”, clarified Gleb Nikitin.

“The Antimonopoly Service praises highly the experience accumulated by the Nizhny Novgorod region in tariff regulation, which can be implemented by other subjects of the Russian Federation. We shall work together and accumulate the best practices”, concluded Igor Artemiev.
