SERGEY PUZYREVSKIY: AMUR REGION MANAGED TO CUT DOWN ON ANTIMONOPOLY VIOLATIONS
The Road Map for developing competition is mainstreaming, it will comprise 35 key markets
Deputy Head of FAS Sergey Puzyrevsky and Governor of the Amur region Vasiliy Orlov had a meeting in Blagoveshchensk on implementing the National Competition Development Plan in the region.
“Looking at last year results, the region cut down on violations of the antimonopoly law (-17%) by the authorities, decreased the number of unitary enterprises on competitive markets (-7%) and increase the share of procurement form small and medium business and socially-oriented NGOs (to 35.15 % in 2018, and 30.74% in 2017), stated Sergey Puzyrevskiy. “These are good results, achieved due to systematic efforts”.
The Road Map for competition support is mainstreaming in the region. The Amur region determined 35 key markets from 41 indicators (markets) suggested for the Amur region. The 35 key markets of pressing social importance: retail sale of medicinal drugs and medical products, medical services, education, funeral services, construction, passenger transportation, etc.
“We are ready to provide necessary assistance in devising the Road Map, which would specify, in particular, pro-competitive approaches to implementing National projects * in the region”, explained Deputy Head of FAS.
Governor of the Amur region Vasiliy Orlov thanked FAS for the sharing the techniques used in successful regional practices on competition development.
These days, the Amur region hosts a workshop of FAS regional Offices from the Far East Federal District. Representatives of FAS Offices are sharing experiences of introducing antimonopoly compliance by the authorities and local self-government bodies in the regions, the practice of keeping the Register of Unfair Suppliers.
