LEARNING TO DEVELOP EXCHANGE TRADE IN VORONEZH

It is one of the key directions for competition development underlined by the National Plan

On 24 June 2019, a regional workshop for agricultural producers took place in Voronezh on “Developing exchange trade with mineral fertilizers, grain and oil products for production and sale of agro-products”.

Executing No. 618 Order of the President of Russia “On the main directions of the state policy towards competition development” similar regional workshops took place in Saratov, Lipetsk, Penza, Kurgan. St Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange was one of the organizers (“SPIMEX”) JSC.

Deputy Head of FAS Department for Fuel-and-Energy Complex and Chemical Industry, Natalia Yakovenko pointed out that “exchange trade is a tool enabling to set prices under the balance of interest between sellers and buyers”.

FAS undertakes systemic efforts together with the Central Bank, the Federal Tax Service, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture since 2015. 

The workshop emphasized the importance to organize such workshops on a regular basis, full-time education of stakeholders on the exchange, consider participation of economic entities in exchange trading with cash and delivering information about exchange trade to agricultural producers.
