COMPETITION DEVELOPMENT IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO DEVELOPING SMALL AND MEDIUM BUSINESS
On 14 August 2019, Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department Vladimir Mishelovin had at working meeting with members of the Public Council at Mordovia OFAS. Vice-President of “OPORA Russia”, a member of FAS Public Council, Alexander Gureev also took part in the event
The working meeting focused on implementing the National project “Small and medium business and support to individual business initiative” in the Republic of Mordovia.
According to Vladimir Mishelovin, the results of implementing the National project are directly related to the quality of of work on achieving the key targets in the 36 competitive markets chosen by Mordovia to fulfill the Competition Development Standard and the National Competition Development Plan.
“Today it is essential that measures to support small and medium business are not simply reduced to spending the allocated budgetary funds, but actually have a noticeable impact upon improving the business climate, increasing the number of small and medium companies and the share of private companies on competitive markets”, emphasized Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department.
Representatives of the Public Council expressed their concerns about insufficient accessibility of support measures as well as presence of administrative barriers against small and medium business. The next session of the Public Council will analyze the progress in pursuing the National project and discuss the Public Council’s objectives in terms of control over competition development in Mordovia.
