IMPORTANT ISSUES OF ANTIMONOPOLY REGULATION IN THE NORTH OSSETIA WERE DISCUSSED
The specifics of competition enforcement in the region, implementing antimonopoly compliance, providing subsidies, procurement, tendering and judicial practice were the main focuses of a regional workshop of FAS bodies from the North Caucasus Federal District
On 5 September 2019, Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsarikovskiy took part in the event.
He emphasized the importance of such workshops:
“FAS is a huge body, that works across the entire Russia, and we certainly need common practice”.
Deputy Head of FAS highlighted the important item on the event’s agenda. He underlined that tendering is always on the forefront of FAS work, and allocation of subsidies attracts attention because of agricultural specialization of the region.
Andrey Tsarikovskiy stressed that it is essential to integrate 2018 – 2020 National Competition Development Plan and National projects.
He summed up that “without such integration, the projects’ result can be simply spending budgetary funds”.
The event was attended by top officers of the specialized FAS Departments, Heads of FAS regional Offices in the North Caucasus Federal District, representatives of federal and regional executive bodies, local self-government bodies, prosecutor’s offices, judiciaries, NGOs and non-profit organizations.
During the working visit to the region, Andrey Tsarikovskiy had a meeting with the staff of North Ossetia OFAS.
