BELGOROD REGIONAL AUTHORITIES DECREASED ANTIMONOPOLY VIOLATIONS BY 43%
Antimonopoly compliance is introduced by all executive bodies, municipalities and urban districts in the Belgorod region
On 12 September, Deputy Head of FAS Rachik Petrosyan had a meeting with Deputy Governor of the Belgorod region – Head of Economic Development Department, Oleg Abramov on fulfillment of the National Competition Development Plan.
As pointed out at the meeting, all regional executive bodies and administrations of municipalities and town districts implemented antimonopoly compliance in their work – a system for preventing violations of the antimonopoly law.
According to Belgorod OFAS, violations of the antimonopoly law committed by Belgorod regional Authorities decreased by 43% in 2018 compared to 2017.
The reign pursues competition development measures on 36 markets, two of which the region select additionally: the markets of financial services and IT-services. The Belgorod region has achieved the targets, specified in the National Competition Standard for 25 markets ahead of time, and on 11 markets considerable efforts must be done to increase the share of private sector.
Rachik Petrosyan said: “To execute Presidential order that took place in April 2018, the region has prepared a draft Road for competition development and forwarded it to Moscow OFAS, - to FAS for approval. The document is being considered. I believe it will be approved on time, by 1 October 2019”.
