SYSTEMIC ROAD MAP SHOULD BE CREATED TO RESOLVE CROSS-SUBSIDISATION ISSUE

Stated Head of FAS Department for Regulating the Electric Power Industry, Dmitry Vasiliev at a Round Table on “Pressing issues of digitalizing the electric power industry of the Russian Federation”

He touched important aspects of tariff regulation in the grid complex as well as the specifics of introducing long-turn and balanced tariff regulation.

A special emphasis was put on cross subsidizing, solving which will facilitate sustainable industry development and the economy in general as well as introducing modern digital technologies, enhancing performance of the energy system.

“In anticipation of general digitalization, a systemic Road Map must be formed to solve the issue of cross-subsidizing, comprising particular tasks, deadlines, target and intermediary stages for each regions and Russia in general”, said Dmitry Vasiliev.

The event is organized by the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Economic Policy.

The Round Table participants also discussed the industry readiness to optimize internal and external technological-and-economic management, and enhancement of industry competitiveness.
