ANTIMONOPOLY BODIES INSIST ON DISQUALIFICATION
Antimonopoly bodies increasingly more often ask courts to disqualify officials as an administrative punishment for anticompetitive agreements
Moscow Regional OFAS exposed collusion between Kashira Town District Authority (the Moscow region), the Property Management Committee of Kashira Town District Authority, “ELEMENT” Ltd., “IK TRADE” Ltd., “A2” Ltd., “STRELETS MEDIA” Ltd. and two individual entrepreneurs in auctions for installing advertising structures, as a result of which the budget of Kashira lost 8 million RUB.
Upon the exposed fact of the anticompetitive agreement, the defendants and their top officials and executives are held administratively liable and fined in total over 2 million RUB. Also, officials of the Kashira Authority, the Property Management Committee, “A2” Ltd. and “STRELETS MEDIA” Ltd. are disqualified for a period of 6 months to 1 year.
Samara OFAS also exposed two cartels comprising “Security and Protection” Private Security Company” Ltd., “Protection and Order” Private Security Company” Ltd. and “Stroitorg” Ltd.; as well as “Alpha” Private Security Company” Ltd., “SKP” Ltd., “Protection and Order” Private Security Company” Ltd. and “VIP Project” Ltd. on the market of facilities security services. As a result of the investigation, the defendants are also held administratively liable. The top executives of “Stroiintegration” Ltd., “SKP” Ltd., “VIP Project” Ltd., “Protection and Order” Private Security Company” Ltd. are disqualified for 6 months.
