“ELECTRONPRIBOR” LTD. IS FINED OVER 2 MILLION RUB FOR PARTICIPATING IN A CARTEL
Moscow regional OFAS imposed a 2 447 278 RUB administrative fine upon the company
Earlier OFAS opened a case against “AbroCom” Ltd. and “ELECTRONPRIBOR” Ltd. for violating the antimonopoly law: the company concluded an oral cartel agreement which resulted in maintaining prices at the auctions organized by “MRSK North-West” PJSC, “MOESK” PJSC and “MRSK Centre” PJSC.
Moscow regional OFASfound that the company violated the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” [1] and transferred the case materials to hold the company and its top-executives administratively liable [2].
Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenishev, pointed out: “The imposed fine is a legitimate and fair punishment for the violator whose actions resulted in maintaining unreasonably high prices at auctions. Such conduct of economic entities is unacceptable, and the Federal Antimonopoly Service will suppress it severely. The company’s actions look especially cynical amid fulfillment of the federal programme for decartelization of the entire national economy”.
