FAS IS READY TO POSTPONE SUBMISSIONS OF TARIFF-SETTING APPLICATIONS DUE TO THE COVID-19
FAS has already drafted a Government Decree on extending the deadline for submitting the relevant documents
The Federal Antimonopoly Service suggested to reschedule for 45 days the information disclosure deadline, the deadline for filing applications (proposals) to the regulators on setting regulated prices for 2021, as well as filing applications by regional tariff regulators to the Federal Antimonopoly Service about setting the ceiling (minimum and (or) maximum) tariff levels for 2021.
The FAS initiative is related to the measures aimed at preventing the threat to life and health of the population due to propagation of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, particularly, restrictions that are imposed in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
A draft Decree of the Government of the Russian is forwarded to the concerned federal executive bodies for approvals.
FAS has already rescheduled several deadlines for regulated companies that submit annually their accounting and statistical reporting – for 2019 and Q1 2020, reporting on use of investment resources.
Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolyov pointed out: “In the current situation, rescheduling the deadlines for filing tariff applications and reporting seems the most correct and necessary solution in view of the sanitary and disease prevention measures undertaken all over Russia to due to propagation of the new coronavirus infection”.
