JOINT FAS-AEB WORKING GROUPS TO START ACTIVITIES
In order to promote completion in the Russian markets, as well as to raise the self-regulation of the main sectors of the Russian economy, five new working groups, created jointly by FAS and Association of European Business (AEB) are launching their activities.
The proposal to create such working groups were initiated in June 2020, within the annual briefing of Igor Artemiev, Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, with AEB member companies, held in the format of a video conference.
The working groups will cover the following issues:
- risk-sharing criteria;
- development of competition in the seed market and analysis of existing and preparing for the adoption of regulatory legal acts in this sphere;
- mortgage insurance;
- criteria for admissibility of purchasing unions in the Russian Federation;
- questions of checking and comparing the quality of goods sold by European companies in the Russian Federation.
Taking into account the successful long-term experience of cooperation between FAS and the AEB, the creation of these working groups will help businesses to understand issues related to antimonopoly legislation, find out possible solutions of identified problems, as well as build their business policy in accordance with competition law of the Russian Federation.
