FAS RUSSIA PARTICIPATES IN THE PROJECT OF THE ICN WORKING GROUP ON AGENCY EFFECTIVENESS
In order to study the impact of digitalization on the daily life of competition authorities and their organizational, structural and staffing procedures, the Working Group of the International Competition Network on Agency Effectiveness* launched the project “Digitalization, Innovation and Efficiency of Competition Authorities”, in which the Federal Antimonopoly Service is actively involved.
The new project aims to collect valuable information on competition agencies’ digital transformation journeys – specifically, actions/measures that competition agencies have taken in order to digitalize and innovate their authorities in line with the growing digitalization in our society. The results of the project will form the basis for a report summarizing different steps competition agencies have taken in this regard, and, ideally, sharing practical experiences and good practices in this area.
All in all, the project will focus on issues of digitalization and explore how digital transformation influence the agency’ activities especially in relation to the integration of digital technology and digital skills in order to strengthen its capacity and increase its operational efficiency.
* The tasks of the ICN Working Group on Agency Effectiveness are to identify the key elements of a well-functioning competition agency, to implement best practices in strategy and planning, as well as learn enforcement tools and procedures. The purpose of the ICN Working Group on Agency Effectiveness is to share experiences between ICN members and non-governmental organizations, and to develop and disseminate best practices to improve the effectiveness of the agency.
