FAS RUSSIA: THE MEASURES TAKEN TO CURB THE GROWTH OF PRICES FOR BASIC FOOD PRODUCTS WILL BE PERMANENT AND LONG-LASTING

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (the FAS Russia) has prepared and approved all the necessary regulatory documents aimed at reducing prices for certain socially significant types of products.

The Regional offices of the FAS Russia throughout the country as well as the Central office collect and process information and applications from citizens on the dynamics of prices for such food products.

Action plan has been prepared in case of non-execution or delay in the execution of decisions to reduce prices, including unscheduled inspections and initiation of cases on violation of the law.

The interaction with the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation was provided for joint detection and suppression of violations of the law when setting prices for certain types of food products.

The FAS Russia notes that the measures taken will be permanent and long-lasting.
