FAS RUSSIA AND ROSKACHESTVO WILL CHECK INTERNATIONAL MANUFACTURERS FOR «DOUBLE STANDARDS»

The parties have concluded an agreement in order to suppress unfair competition

Maxim Shaskolsky, Head of the FAS Russia, and Maxim Protasov, Head of the Roskachestvo, signed a joint working agreement, including the provision on the suppression of unfair competition.

The agreement implies interaction on compliance with legal requirements for the production, promotion and turnover of goods on the Russian market. Agreement will enable the parties to intensify the work related to the identification of "double standards" in the properties and composition of goods produced under the same brand and in the identical packaging destined for different markets.

The agreement with Roskachestvo will allow the FAS Russia to obtain the independent research results of the composition and consumer properties of various goods in order to identify the signs of unfair competition in the actions of the manufacturers of such products.

The beginning of cooperation will be the analysis of the groups that were previously explored in the countries of the European Union in terms of the identity of goods, including chocolate, beverages, spices, tea, coffee, sweets, cosmetics, produced under the same brand, but sold in different countries by differences in properties and compositions.
