FAS CONTINUES TO INVESTIGATE CASES AGAINST COMPANIES AT ROLLED METAL PRODUCTS MARKET

On June 10-11, three sessions of commission on cases of violation of antimonopoly law were held against PAO Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), PAO Severstal and PAO Novolipetsk steel (NLMK)

Representatives of PAO Severstal presented a substantive position on the circumstances of the case under consideration. The MMK and NLMK companies have not yet stated their position on the merits of the cases under consideration.

At the same time, the MMK and NLMK companies proposed to consider the cases in closed sessions. Such consideration involves restriction of access to information on the cases under consideration by third parties, as well as restriction of publication of information in the media.

To ensure the openness of the antimonopoly proceedings, the FAS Russia decided to consider the cases in open sessions, but also in compliance with the trade secrets of iron and steel companies.

The Public Joint Stock Company Gazprom and the Partnership "Association of Wagon Builders" also filed with Commission petitions to participate in the case. The next sessions are scheduled for June 30 and July 1.
