The Mercury Group of companies is suspected of an international cartel in the market of elite branded products

The FAS Russia conducts on-site inspections of distributors of luxury goods in the Russian market- TD TSUM JSC and the Mercury Group of companies, as well as a number of official representative offices of foreign brands. The FAS inspection waited for more than two hours for a representative of the company to appear with attorney in order to go to the office premises and start checking.

In the actions of organizations, according to the antimonopoly authority, there are signs of international price collusion in the market of elite branded products, including selling goods online.

The maximum liability for participation in a cartel in Russia is up to 15% of the company's annual revenue. The turnover of the audited organizations by the end of 2020 exceeds 90 billion rubles. In addition, Russian legislation provides for criminal offence to restrict competition.
