NIZHNY NOVGOROD OFAS INITIATED TWO CASES AGAINST SLADKAYA ZHIZN PLUS LLC

The actions of the company show signs of coordination of the economic activities of the Avocado and Malinka retail chains

According to the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Office of the FAS Russia, Sladkaya Zhizn Plus LLC controls the prices and terms of delivery of goods to Avocado and Malinka stores in 11 regions of the country. At the same time, stores are independent business entities.

Thus, the company coordinated the economic activities of independent economic entities without organizing a trading network. The food stores that signed contracts with Sladkaya Zhizn Plus LLC had a limited choice of suppliers, and fixed prices for products, including socially significant ones, were set, which excluded the possibility of selling them at lower prices.

The Nizhny Novgorod Regional Office of the FAS Russia sees in the company's actions a violation of the Law on the Protection of Competition.* If a violation of the antimonopoly legislation is detected, Sladkaya Zhizn Plus LLC faces a fine of one to five million rubles.**
