FAS: THE “HOTLINES” ON UNJUSTIFIED PRICE INCREASES FOR SOCIALLY IMPORTANT GOODS AND SERVICES OPERATE IN ALL THE REGIONS

14-03-2022 | 15:44

FAS and its regional offices are strengthening control over socially significant product markets. The official websites of the regional offices of FAS in the “Main” section contain information about “hotlines” with relevant contacts for citizens' complaints on issues of unjustified price increases of goods, services and their availability. The existing hotline on the website of FAS central office has also been upgraded. Now citizens can use it to report an increase in prices not only for products, but also for non-manufactured goods and services (medicines, building materials, household appliances, electronics, communication services and the Internet, etc.).

The information received will be used to identify and suppress unjustified price increases, as well as to take measures against unfair market participants.

FAS and its regional offices conduct constant monitoring of pricing in order to promptly identify and suppress abuses by market participants. In case of detection of signs of violations of antimonopoly law immediate measures from warnings to the initiation of antimonopoly cases are adopted.
