FAS INITIATED A CASE ON A CARTEL IN THE FUEL MARKET IN TAMBOV REGION
FAS initiated a case against Promtorg LLC, Premiumtorg LLC, Neftetrans-Tambov LLC and Eco LLC. FAS suspects these companies of collusion* in order to maintain prices when bidding for the supply of petroleum products for the needs of state and municipal budgetary institutions. We are talking about procurement procedures for the needs of the regional state-owned institution "Fire and Rescue Center", the Tambov City Duma, the regional Department of Rospotrebnadzor, the Municipal Budget Institution "Directorate of Landscaping" and other authorities.
The initial maximum amount of contracts was 791 million rubles.
Illegal actions of bidders could lead to an increase in budget expenditures during the procurement of fuels and lubricants.
It should be reminded that the analysis of the behavior of bidders was carried out in connection with the increase in fuel prices in 2021. Evidence for the initiation of the case was obtained, including in the course of anti-cartel inspections.
In case of finding a violation, turnover fines could be imposed on companies in accordance with Article 14.32 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
