THE EEC ANTIMONOPOLY UNIT WILL ASSESS THE STATE OF COMPETITION IN DIGITAL MARKETS
It should be noted that antimonopoly authorities of the EAEU member states focus on the digital markets and the issues of the separation of powers between the national authorities of the EAEU and the EEC.
The EEC Council also proposed to define the procedure and order for assessing the state of competition in cross-border and digital markets. The elaboration of these issues will ensure the effectiveness of the law enforcement activities of the EEC.
In turn, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov said that every year FAS conducts an analysis of the economic situation in the Russian Federation, following which it discusses a report on the state of competition, including the main problems and prospects for the development of commodity markets, as well as proposals to improve the efficiency of their functioning. This kind of document makes it possible to determine priority areas of activity for ensuring and developing competition.
