19-05-2022 | 17:27

According to FAS, it is more useful to assess the development of production and release of new medicines through the registration of prices for them. Pharmaceutical manufacturers can sell medicines to consumers only after such an assess. This applies to vital medicines included in the list*.

In 2022, FAS received 2,846 such applications, while in the same period last year – 1,980. Thus, after agreeing prices with the Authority, the number of medicines included in the turnover will increase.

It indicates the development of production, the release of new products, increasing the sustainability of medical supplies for the population at affordable prices. At the same time, such medicines will remain free for privileged categories of citizens.
