FAS APPROVED CANDIDACIES OF THE HEADS OF THE KURGAN AND LIPETSK REGIONS' TARIFF BODIES

FAS performs control and supervision functions in the sphere of the tariff regulation. It has the power to certify the heads of the regional tariff authorities. Thus, FAS controls the uniformity of the tariff policy at the federal and regional levels.

FAS approved the candidacy of Elena Fedyanina for the position of the Head of the Department for State Regulation of Prices and Tariffs of Kurgan region. The candidate discussed the issue of uniting four Urals regions (Tyumen and Kurgan regions, Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets autonomous districts) into one energy zone.  Besides, it was entrusted to control fulfillment of instructions of FAS, which were issued based on the results of the inspection of the Department for Prices and Tariffs in the sphere of Solid Waste Management. The remedy is aimed at reducing tariffs by 2.6% for solid municipal waste disposal services.

FAS also approved the candidacy of Mikhail Boev for the position of the Head of the Energy and Tariff Department of the Lipetsk region.  He will supervise not only the tariff regulation in the fuel and energy complex of the region, but also the development and implementation of the regional program in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency.

Both candidates have long experience in the power supply industry, including in management positions.
