FAS RECOMMENDS HEAT AND ELECTRICITY PRODUCERS TO DIVIDE COST WHEN PURCHASING FUEL

27-06-2022 | 14:04

FAS Russia believes that when purchasing coal and fuel oil, it is necessary to use Russian exchange and over-the-counter indicators, which are published on the website of the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange

Relevant recommendations have been sent to organizations engaged in the production of thermal and electrical energy using coal or fuel oil as the main fuel. According to FAS Russia, it will contribute to reducing antimonopoly risks.

When purchasing coal and fuel oil, it is necessary to separately take into account the cost of fuel itself, its delivery and the cost of using railway wagons.

FAS Russia also recommends the largest sellers of thermal coal make changes to trade and sales policies providing for the priority supply of coal to the domestic market, as well as the rejection of the use of foreign price indicators in the formation of prices for domestic raw materials for supplies to the domestic market.
